ÖKO-TEST magazine issue 08/2016 tested baby carriers and wraps. The emeibaby carrier baby size grey was rated "very good".
The carrier is suitable for newborn as well as toddler. For mums and dads, no matter the clothing size XS or XXL. If you carry your child on the stomach or back.
Ergonomic as a wrap yet easy to handle as a structured carrier. The robust, conic waist strap puts the weight of the child on your hip. This facilitates carrying, especially in case of bigger children. According to the manufacturer, the carrier can be used for children up to 15kg. In practice, even heavier children are no problem. At the same time, newborns feel that they are in good hands.
The rear section is made of baby wrap fabric and fastened via pairs of rings on the left and right. This way, the carrier can be adjusted as a ring sling and the seat is individually adapted to the baby's size. This has to be done from time to time, but only if the child has grown remarkably. So, everyday use is nice and easy.
The toddler plus size is for families that start carrying after the child's first birthday and want to continue carrying until the child is three years old. Starting from size 92, the toddler size fits quite well. Its rear section is 7cm longer than that of the baby size.

The babies' health comes first for manufacturer Emeibaby. Therefore, the carriers are only made of carefully dyed fabrics, which mostly come from weaving mills and dye-works in Germany and Austria (except the models Chichi and Antigua, which are sourced from Girasol). For carriers with dark waist and shoulder straps, the color of the straps can change when exposed to the sun. To prevent this, you follow these advices:
- Do not let them rest on your car seat in summer.
- Let them dry in shady places.
- Put it in a bag if not used
If you want to prevent the change in colores for sure, the manufacturer recommends light designs.
